Christchurch

The oldest established city in New Zealand, Christchurch is situated in the east coast of South Island inside Pegasus Bay. It is close to the Southern Alps where you can ski at some of the best slopes in the Southern Hemisphere. The city has many parks like the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, Hagley Park and the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, which is a centre of many local wildlife conservation and rehabilitation efforts for rare and endangered New Zealand species. Family’s will love Hagley Park, where the kids can play or the adults can listen to some of the open air concerts frequently held there.
